Our pastor has just preached a marvelous message about letting your light shine in this world of darkness (and it is dark). When darkness prevails all around us, a light will illuminate. When we walk into a room, meet people we know or work with, our light should outshine the darkness. We even sang an old favorite of the kid’s “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Hide it under a bushel no, I’m gonna let it shine.” Yes, we know it’s a child ‘s song but it’s still true. That’s a challenge, will you let your light shine brighter and brighter in a world that is getting darker and darker?
The holidays are upon us already and plans are being made for a glorious season of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Won’t you join us at 4610 Manslick Road at 2pm on Sunday and 7pm on Thursday.
And, don’t forget, we have Children’s Super Church every third Thursday of the month at 7pm. That’s November 16. Bring your whole family.
