Well, we are somewhat back to normal. We have already begun a busy summer. In April some of our brothers attended a men’s conference in Bowling Green and our ladies attended a ladies conference. We have youth camp in July, Friends and Family Day, plus other smaller events and happenings. As dates are established, we will post here.

COVID - VACCINES - DELTA - OMICRON - BOOSTERS - FAUCI - Aren’t you tired of hearing these terms DAY AFTER DAY!
It’s time for good news about the goodness of God and the wonderful things He is doing! Put your trust in Him. We are starting a new year in about three weeks and we are anxious to be a part of all His blessings. We don’t know what the future holds but we know WHO holds the future. Join us Sundays, 2 pm and Thursdays, 7pm at 4610 Manslick Rd. for a dose of His spirit to take us through. God bless and keep you safe. ATTENTION EVERYONE!
We are still watching and waiting for the coming of the Lord but, in the meantime, we are continuing to wait until the time is right to start our new building; hopefully, it won’t be much longer. Along with our weekly services on Sunday and Thursday on Manslick Road, we have an ELEMENTS class on Tuesday nights, 7 PM for anyone interested. This takes place at 7731 St. Andrews Church Road. This class is for newcomers or anyone attending church regularly. It will help us stay grounded in the word of God and help us to discover and learn more from God’s word. Anyone can come, anyone can take part. Also, we are kicking off a men’s prayer/devotional meeting the fourth Saturday of each month at 9 AM. Be sure to make note of these special events: ELEMENTS Class - Tuesdays, 7 PM Men's Meetings - 4th Saturday of ea. month Join us for all or a few. Everyone is welcome. Good News!
As we continue to get back to “normal” we are planning Family Day on Sunday, July 25 at 2 PM. We will have guest speaker, Rev. and Sis. Hicks from Lexington doing a program for children with plenty of fun and interaction. We are growing and God is moving greatly in our services. We invite you to join us on July 25 for a day of worship and fun. On our way back to NORMAL? MAYBE!! We will again attend Family Camp this month and our youth will be attending summer camps in July. We are excited about these events that we missed out on in 2020. Thank God He has kept us through it all. We have been having our regular church services on Sunday and Thursday. If you are looking for a place to attend, you are welcome here.
Spring has sprung! The landscape is very picturesque with bright brilliant colored flowers exploding up through the soft warm earth. Trees are blossoming with various colored buds and it’s a sight to enjoy. We are celebrating Palm Sunday and Easter and want the love of Jesus to explode in our church and our lives so that the world can see the beauty of Jesus Christ. Come and celebrate Him with us Sunday at 2pm.
Just when we think things may be getting somewhat back to normal, we have an ice storm causing us to cancel our service Thursday, February 11. Whatever comes though we will continue; we will be victorious. Keep checking here for details or call 502-680-6001 if you need additional information or assistance. Lord’s blessings and safety for all.
All of us at LAC have celebrated a beautiful Christmas and New Years; now we are anxious to celebrate the beginning of a new day, new year and a new beginning. We are praying and hopeful that we can complete our new building this year. As you know with Covid 19, there are certain rules we must obey or we would be in violation; however, as soon as they say go, we will be on our way. Plans are ready, it’s just a matter of hearing “okay, go for it.”
We are thankful to have made it through the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020 with no deaths. We had very few people who contacted this virus and we’re thankful for their recovery. The next 40 days we are centering on prayer and fasting. This is the need of the hour. We’re tired of doom and gloom, politics and Covid. We’re starting the year with the right mindset, with Jesus Christ the center of our lives. God blessings to all! Due to the holidays and the virus, we will not have in-house services on Thursday, 12/24, Sunday, 12/27 or Thursday, 12/31. We will resume in-house Sunday, 1/3/2021. Have a blessed holiday and join us in the New Year.
LAC is still here and continuing to hold services. We have had to close a few times due to COV19 and its restrictions but, we are still having services at 4610 Manslick Road on Sunday and Thursday. We are taking all the necessary precautions - face mask, social distancing and hand sanitizing. We would like for you to visit with us and make yourself at home and be part of our family!
Also, because of the virus we have had to postpone the construction of our new building, however, our plans are to start in early spring. Remember, that’s a new church building constructed all in one day. AMAZING!! Until we see you have a beautiful and blessed holiday. And, always remember the reason for the celebration - JESUS CHRIST! If you have any questions regarding our services, you can call 502-680-6001. |
